  2. NoseBleed and/or Ad Infinitum for phpBB 3

    April 2011

It seems like the only two sites who had my templates for phpBB3, NoseBleed and Ad Infinitum, no longer support the download of these.

I don’t have any of them myself, so If there’s anyone out there who just happen to have a copy of them, i would really appreciate if you could email it to me.

  3. PH-Consult ApS

PH-Consult Aps needed an update for their homepage layout. I made an initial sketch which was well recieved, but personally I didn’t like it much. I was more pleased with my second sketch and so were they and that was that.

  4. The phpBB3 templates

Currently there seems to be a problem recieving an activation email from theCountriesInColours forum, unabling anyone to recieve the phpBB3 templates that he converted. I don’t have access to his forum either, and i don’t have a copy of the templates.

I have suggested others to go to phpbb.com’s forum and find the NoseBleed/Conundrum post there, and ask if anyone can send you a copy of it. Or maybe send him a private message. I’m not even sure he knows his forum have this problem.

Or maybe you know where to find his email or his templates?

    Update Oct. 2010:

I got this email from Alan Mahoney the other day:

    Dear Mike,

I am also a user of nosebleed, albeit on a very small scale, and wish to thank you for the brilliant design. I noted on your webpage about the troubles registering/downloading these templates from CountriesInColours forums. Based on the information at phpbb.com I used a guest account guest/Guest123 to download the phpbb3 style from CiC. I don’t know how widely they want the guest pass disseminated, but it at least served to get me a copy.

    Kind regards, Alan

Hopefully this will help. Thanks Alan. :)

Also, my good friend Will Hough, who was involved in converting the templates to phpBB3, now has the templates available for download on his site willhough.net.

    Update Apr. 2011:

It seems like the only two sites who had my templates for phpBB3, NoseBleed and Ad Infinitum, no longer support the download of these.

    Update May 2011:

Frunc just sent me the Ad Infinitum template for phpBB3. Still no sign of NoseBleed though.

  5. TokyoPlastic.com

I remember first seeing this site more than 5 years ago, and it instantly became my favorite. And, today, it still is.

  6. NoseBleed

NoseBleed was my first template, released in May 2004, which shortly after was followed by a blue version Conundrum and a black version Ad Infinitum. The simplicity of the layout seemed to please many people, including US president candidate Michael Badnarik, rap star The Game and many, many more. It quickly became one of the most used templates for phpBB2, boosting my Google Pagerank to 8 due to 23+ million returned links. The same year, Packt Publishing Book Store convinced me to write a chapter about modifying templates for phpBB2 for their upcoming book Building Online Communities with phpBB.

Later on, NoseBleed, Conundrum and Ad Infinitum was updated to a version 2, with a, in my opinion, more smooth layout.

CIC has since converted these templates for phpBB3.

  7. TypeNeu

For someone like me who loves typography at its best, a site like TypeNeu is just heaven. Come pick me up later.

  8. Smashing Magazine

So, today i stumbled across this site, and it made me feel like a dinosaur. Know that feeling? These guys are good! I don’t regret giving up on web design, i could never be as good as them anyways. Still, a great site for inspiration i believe.. and this WordPress theme Magazeen.. not to mention this one. They’re nice, very nice.

This was my first attempt of making something grungy in Photoshop, using quite an amount of different brushes. Not much else to say about this.
